About Us

Mr Moosa Mayet is the Managing Director and founder of Moosa Mayet Attorneys Incorporated. He is an admitted legal practitioner of the High Court of South Africa, having been admitted in June 2019. He holds an LLB degree from the University of Johannesburg and completed his articles at Ismail & Dahya Attorneys, where he later served as an associate and head of the firm’s Estates Department.

Driven by a bold vision to deliver smarter, more accessible legal services, Mr Mayet launched the firm in January 2020. Since then, he has built a reputation for handling high-stakes, multifaceted legal matters with integrity, precision, and exceptional care.

But Mr Mayet is more than just a skilled attorney — he is a communicator at heart. Having completed a course in radio broadcasting and briefly working with Radio Islam International in 2017, he brings a rare ability to deliver complex legal issues into clear, actionable advice.

Mr Mayet is also deeply committed to social justice and public advocacy. He maintains active affiliations with several human rights organisations, including groups working to combat corruption — where he contributes to challenging questionable practices within the judiciary and broader legal system. He also supports initiatives focused on raising awareness about gender-based violence and advocates for the rights and dignity of individuals with Down syndrome. These efforts reflect his broader mission: to make justice more accessible, to give a voice to the voiceless, and to serve not just clients — but entire communities.

Outside of his legal career, Mr Mayet is a former South African calisthenics and street workout champion. He proudly represented South Africa at both the Street Workout World Cup and the Super Finals held in Russia and China, respectively. His background in elite sport reflects the same discipline, focus, and strategic thinking he brings to every legal matter.
